EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
What it is and how it can be used
Gary Craig is the founder of EFT (or 'tapping' as it is more commonly known).
He said "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."
And because physical pain and disease are often found to be connected with emotions,
"our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases."
EFT uncovers underlying issues and releases negative emotions and/or physical symptoms linked to them.
It is often described as acupuncture without the needles.
It works by tapping with the fingertips on specific points on the energy meridians, whilst voicing statements which focus on both the problem and acceptance of it.
This results in the energy disruptions or emotional blocks being cleared. Therefore, the mind/body balance is restored, which is essential for optimal health and wellbeing.
The EFT technique is easy to learn and apply for yourself.
However, sometimes it is more effective if a qualified and experienced Practitioner helps to guide you through the process.
This enables you to relax your conscious mind and access your unconscious mind,
which is where the most effective and permanent changes occur.
There are a number of gentle EFT techniques which have been specifically designed
to enable you to work through your challenges content free.
These are particularly favourable in relation to traumatic events.
Whether you have a physical pain, or an emotion that is no longer serving you,
EFT is a fantastic tool, and Gary Craig said
"it often works where nothing else will."
What a session consists of
My EFT sessions are for an hour and a half, and are delivered via Zoom.
They provide you with the opportunity to begin to shift and release the energy associated with what is no longer serving you.
The shifts created will be reflected in many ways, on many levels.
I will explain the EFT process at the beginning of the session, so you are familiar with the tapping points.
I will then gently guide you through the process, which involves you mirroring me and gently tapping on specific points on your face and hands, whilst repeating the words I am saying for you.
An hour and a half is ample time for me to:
Carry out a general consultation with you.
Explain what EFT is, and what you might expect to experience.
Describe my procedure for EFT .
Intuitively guide you through the EFT process in relation to what is right for you in any given moment.
Invite you to reflect on your experience.
*Clarify if you would like to book a further session.
Share aftercare suggestions.
Answer any questions you may have.
Ensure you are fully grounded.
*There are times when people benefit from a number of EFT sessions - depending on what it is they are intending to shift. I am happy to discuss this with you before and after your session.
The energy exchange for an EFT session via Zoom is £90.
As you will need to clearly see where I am tapping for you to mirror me, I suggest you use a PC, laptop or tablet to connect, as the screens on these are bigger than on phones.
If this is of interest to you, please contact me to book your session.
Love Jo. XX

EFT is not a replacement for conventional medicine or psychotherapy. However, it can be used in a complementary way. If you are currently taking prescribed medication, it is in your best interest to consult your doctor to seek their advice in relation to you attending a training. I am not medically trained.
